Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on how you looked at it, the gremlin-things had forced Kryschenn around the bend in the tunnel. Unfortunately, of course, that meant she was getting separated further and further from any help. Fortunately, however, that meant she was out of the line of fire when Zeo turned a flamethrower on the things.
Krys didn't have a chance to see the effect of the flames. The things were swarming on her, trying to drag her down. Two were on her shoulders, one had a grip on her hair, several were tangling her legs. She fell to one knee. Desperately, she lashed out with her elbow, and felt a satisfying crunch as she caught one's head and smashed it against a huge boulder in the tunnel. One of the gremlins bit her, but it rather stupidly tried to sink its teeth into her shoulder and instead hit her bronze epaulette.
"Mi'-mhodhail!" she shouted, grabbing the thing's legs and smacking its head on the ground. "I need some help here!" she screamed down the tunnel before three more of the things jumped on her.
