"AIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHGGGH!" Eric screamed as the gremlin that had jumped him bit into his shoulder. It's first bite couldn't quite penetrate his chain mail, but the thing's teeth did a fair amount of damage to his armor. The next bite, he realized in a panic, would probably break skin.He wasn't about to give the thing the chance. With reflexes born of hundreds of panic attacks while avoiding everything that snapped, snarled, bit, or otherwise attacked in this world, he unceremoniously dropped the still-unconscious Kryschenn and grabbed the gremlin by its legs. Swinging around once, he heaved the gremlin blindly, throwing it as far as he could and not really caring where it landed.
Where it landed, if he had taken the time to notice, was in the pit behind them. More specifically, it landed with a hard impact squarely on the head of an already ticked-off umber hulk.
There was a furious roar, and in seconds, the dazed gremlin became nothing more than an appetizer. But because of the sudden headache, the umber hulk was REALLY mad now. Really mad, very hungry, and just big enough to climb out of the pit.
