Kryschenn watched the horse and its riders disappeaer down the path to Macula and felt a twinge of guilt. She really hoped Kayla was going to be all right by herself. "Yeah, maybe we kind of got carried away with the matchmaking and the party and all," Kryschenn said aloud to no one in particular. "But Dungeon Master told us to come here and prevent the city from being handed over to Venger. And we can't do anything until we meet the Princess, and we don't get to do that until the dinner party."
Kryschenn looked around at her compatriots. "I hope she doesn't hold it against us that we didn't go with her." Raising a hand, she called after the retreating figure on the road, "Hail, and fare thee well in Macula, Kayla!"
